Issue #7

I'm already on my 7th week of my 365 project. I had intended to start the project at the beginning of the year, but as I began to look at my images in Lightroom, I noticed that I had taken an image every single day since December 7th, 2014. I had no issues with marking that as the beginning of the project. It was nice to have an unexpected head start.

Seven weeks isn't far enough along into this project for me to start making any grand pronouncements of what I'm learning from this whole endeavor. What I have noticed is that taking a picture everyday causes you to be less selective of what is worthy of making into an image. I carry my camera with me everywhere and if something catches my eye, I click the shutter button. I hardly spend anytime wondering if I should. It seems like you have to let your instincts take over. The interesting outcome of that is that you start to see patterns emerge; similar subject matter popping up over and over. It's very much like stream-of-consciousness writing, where you only stop to see what you have after the fact.
